The Rev. Lynn Campbell
In June of 2016 the Rev. Lynn Campbell began as the rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Weston.
In announcing Lynn Campbell’s calling as rector, Karen Montague, St. Peter’s Senior Warden said, “Lynn is a leader and caring pastor who easily connects with others with her warm, open personality. In her current position as Associate Rector at Christ Church in Needham, Lynn has led all aspects of church life and administration. In particular, she has drawn young families to her parish, building the church school there and creating a vibrant youth program. We are excited to have Lynn join our parish family and lead us into this new chapter of our parish life.”
Over a year ago, St. Peter’s began an extensive search process to find a new rector. Following a parish-wide survey and group discussions with church members, the nine-member search committee identified the qualities most desired in a new rector. Marshall Bartlett, co-chair of the search committee, remarked, “We are blessed to have found a perfect match between St. Peter’s aspirations and Lynn’s tremendous gifts as a priest and a person.”
Rev. Campbell’s spiritual path began with her upbringing in the Roman Catholic Church to her current role as an Episcopal priest. Along the way, in addition to her former position as Associate Rector of Christ Church in Needham, she has been the manager of volunteer and pastoral services at St. Francis House in Boston and a college Campus Minister. She received her BA from College of the Holy Cross, a Masters in Divinity from Weston Jesuit School of Theology, and a Diploma in Anglican Studies from Virginia Theological Seminary.
